Greetings fellow John Grisham/Oprah Book Club enthusiasts, and welcome to Vitriol Literary. Although Vitriol has been an outlet for written materials in the past, this is a concerted effort to focus on the creation and release of books. There are several different projects in the works, and previous titles include Andrew Bonazelli's "A Regular" (VIT006) and "The Dreamt and Deathless Obscene" (VIT017).

If you specialize in monographs, issue-specific political tracts, social critique, studies of particular interest, graphic novels, art, mapbooks, radical gossip, or something of a fictional bent that contributes to a discourse not often covered by the mainstream world, send a query to Vitriol Literary Submissions. Feel free to leave the witty and sarcastic comments to us and simply elucidate your idea in a succinct and informative manner. If we're interested, we'll reply with a request for a manuscript to review in hand and will perhaps continue the process from there. If not, you'll never hear back from us (in lieu of sending jerky and uncomfortable "sorry" emails). Obviously, we're not the only game in town (or even best equipped to fit your or our needs for that matter), so not everything will work out, but it is worth some effort to see if it will. Best of luck, and onto a few helpful specifics:

In your email state/include these items:

-Your name, location, a page synopsis of the work, outline/or table of contents.

-Where this fits in the context of your genre/etc, what the intended audience is, and why it would be a sensible thing to release this from Vitriol.

-A sample of the work in electronic form (a chapter, a section, or a few pieces leading in the direction of the work). If preliminarily accepted, a manuscript will be requested for review.

-Any particulars as far as illustrations, graphic materials therein, etc.

-Other works you have done, a C.V., etc.

This project was started in the hope that we collectively can present a challenging, aggressive, introspective, provoking, entertaining, and informative voice to the world around us. With any luck, some of this will reflect and represent a wider array of people, personalities, subcultures, and perspectives than we have been exposed to before.
